The University of Utah's Philosophy Department has been awarded the Women-Friendliness Recognition 2009 by the Society for Women in Philosophy, UK. SWIP-UK noted they were particularly impressed with the steps taken at Utah to support women in philosophy. The Philosophy Department is delighted to receive this recognition.

The University of Utah Dept. of Philosophy Hosts Student Philosophy Conference in March, 2010. | The IWSPC will be meeting again this year at our department. We are proud to invite Darrel Moellendorf of San Diego State University to present a paper entitled "Human Dignity, Equality, and Global Justice". We welcome guests from all disciplines to attend the conference and submit papers.

Papers on any philosophical topic are DUE JAN 30. Conference is March 11-13, 2010.
