Travel Request Process:

  1. Please fill out this survey in order to have us register your trip.
    1. If you need an early reimbursement, please indicate so in your initial  request. An early reimbrusement will incur a fee of $25 for domestic travel and $35 for international travel.
  2. Save your receipts during your trip. You can upload them using the Concur app or save them and submit them to philosophy@utah.edu upon the conclusion of your trip.
  3. Submit a final reimbursement request or expense report upon the conclusion of your trip.

Reminders: Please remember that all domestic travel must be registered at least one day in advance. All international travel must be approved and registered at least four weeks in advance, and travelers must purchase international travel insurance. You will receive an email prompting you to purchase insurance once the international travel is registered.


Other Student Information:

Travel fees will be paid by the department. The travel processing fee will not be deducted from your award amount. Please refer to your graduate student letter for academic year allowances.

In addition to the Philosophy graduate student award, the College of Humanities and the graduate school also provides graduate student travel assistance awards. Application processes are different from this form; please follow up by email if awarded additional funding.

If using graduate student travel assistance awards, you are not eligible for a cash advance for your trip.
